The transformation of traditional agriculture to agribusiness is the need of the hour to protect the farm sector. Agribusiness has enormous potential not only to raise the income level of the farmers but also to generate employment opportunities in rural areas of the state. Small Farmers Agribusiness Consortium (SFAC) has been established with the main aim of promoting agribusiness in the state.
I am happy to know that SF AC, Kerala has also joined the group of elite institutions with a well developed website. The website contains details on the objectives, organization and operations of SFAC as well as other useful information and links for the farming community and agripreneurs.
I wish the SFAC team all success in their future endeavours.
